So, this is not at all book or publishing related. But I just discovered something fun. Today is Mr. Potato Head day! I love Mr. Potato Head!
Sadly though this does not appear to be widely recognized. Or even widely celebrated. I would so be all over celebrating Mr. Potato Head Day.

It happens. No matter how well you sneak, you are bound to get the occasional spanking. I knew as soon as I was transferred to a cubicle with a neighbor that didn’t want to sleep with me, I would get caught.
Ding ding ding. It took less than a week.
That’s okay though. If this cubicle neighbor did allude to wanting to sleep with me, I wouldn’t just throw up a little in my mouth. I would projectile vomit all over the office. While I was at it, I would take special aim for some people.
The point is thus.
When you reach the place where you cannot sneak in writing at work, is it time to quit?

It’s National Library Week! I love libraries! I visit them as often as I can. The American Library Association sponsors National Library Week. And apparently there are events at libraries this week in celebration. There is more info on National Library Week at Holiday Hacks.

Well, it’s official. Used bookstores are the way to get rid of the leftover books that we have.
See, here is what happened. We had some used books to sell at a used bookstore. We put one of my books in with them. Then it happened. The used bookstore bought the book for a buck.
Sure, that is still a loss. But is it more than just tossing them. Now we just need 3,000 used bookstores to unload them at.

If you started your publishing company in 2007, then do not forget about your business taxes! Taxes are due today! So, check and see what time your post office closes. As your return has to be postmarked by today!
If you do not file or forget to file you can expect some penalties. And remember, even if you did not make or lose any money you still have to file. Although how they impose a tax on zero dollars if you do not file is a mystery to me.
