Great lines from Shakespeare: A comma ‘tween their amities

From Prince Hamlet, Hamlet

HAMLET: Wilt thou know
Th’ effect of what I wrote?

HORATIO: Ay, good my lord.

HAMLET: An earnest conjuration from the King,
As England was his faithful tributary,
As love between them like the palm should flourish,
As peace should still be her wheaten garland wear
And stand a comma ‘tween their amities,
And many such like “as”es of great charge,
That on the view and know of these contents
Without debatement further more or less
He should the bearers put to sudden death.

Great lines from Shakespeare: Thou whoreson Z

From Kent, King Lear

CORNWALL: Speak yet! How grew your quarrel?

OSWALD: This ancient ruffian, sir, whose life I have spared at suit of his grey beard -

KENT: Thou whoreson Z, thou unnecessary letter!

Great lines from Shakespeare: Thus makes she her great P’s.

From Malvolio, reading a letter, Twelfth Night

MALVOLIO:  By my life, this is my lady’s hand! These be her very C’s, her U’s and her T’s, and thus makes she her great P’s. It is, contempt of question, her hand. “To the unknown beloved, this, and my good wishes.” Her very phrases! By your leave, was. Soft! — and the impressure her Lucrece, with which she uses to seal. ‘Tis my lady! To whom should this be?

Weird search engine hits

It’s always fun to see how people find this site. Clearly this site is about self-publishing books and writing and books in general. Basically, it is all things book related. And there is a also a splash of business info about starting a publishing company and whatnot. But I guess the domain name fools a lot of people. There are a lot of search hits for furniture. I even had a furniture company that wanted me to add a page to the site for them and the would pay me. Guess they were too dumb to actually look at the site. And I guess I was too dumb too since I didn’t take their money. Ah well.

Great lines from Shakespeare: I had a wound here that was like a T

Today’s Shakespeare quote is from the work Antony and Cleopatra. And it is said by Scarus.

So, Scarus of Antony & Cleopatra.

ANTONY: Thou bleed’st apace.

SCARUS: I had a wound here that was like a T. But now ’tis made an H.
